It was always looking as if Australia and Lithuania would dominate this group and that's just what has happened. Both Canada and Senegal have lost to them in this group and will now head into the 17th to 32nd classification group. Canada are the worthy favourites to win this match. Getting a win under their belt before the next set of group games is important for them. They are ranked 23rd in the world and will want to at least finish in that place in these championships. Canada lost their first group match to Australia by 108-92 and followed that up with a 92-69 loss to highly-fancied Lithuania.  Canada were 10 points down after the first quarter of their match against Lithuania and were never able to get back into the match.

Senegal are bottom of the group and their points difference is -67 compared to -39 of that for the Canadians. The Africans are ranked 37th in the world and will be finishing lower than the 16th position they achieved in the last FIBA World Basketball Cup five years ago. They got off to a terrible start in this group losing to Lithuania by 58 points, only scoring 47 themselves. That was followed by a match against Australia that they lost by 13 points. They were only three points down at half time and at one stage only five behind in the final quarter. Canada are the favourites to win this game, it looks like being a close match and the tip is to back Canada on a -7.5 handicap.
