Two sides in the thick of the Serie A relegation battle, Cagliari and Parma are set to face off this Sunday. Home team Cagliari start this game a point above the relegation zone, with Parma just below them in the red. We have a prediction for this game below.

For a second straight Serie A campaign, Cagliari are in the relegation fight. They are coming off back-to-back league defeats, the most recent a 2-1 home loss to Lazio.

This run has left Gli Isolani on just two wins in the last 10 matches in all competitions. At home in Serie A, they failed to score in five of the last 10 matches and only won three of 12 this season.

Parma are battling against having to drop right back to Serie B and this is one of the crucial matches they have to win. Three points here could see them leap by five places, to 13th, depending on other results.

Recent history, however, doesn’t work in Parma’s favor, as in the last three meetings with Cagliari, they are winless. Two of those, including the reverse fixture, ended in identical 3-2 defeats.
