Brentford - Chelsea: Form Analysis

After five consecutive away wins and six games unbeaten, Brentford suffered a 2-1 loss on the road in midweek to Newcastle United, marking their 13th defeat in the league this season.

Indeed, the Bees have done their best work on the road this season but will now return to the Gtech, where they are winless in their last seven games, including five defeats and two draws.

Notably, the hosts are the only team that has failed to keep a clean sheet in the Premier League this season. In fact, they have conceded in 16 straight games on home soil dating back to mid-May of last season.

Thomas Frank provided a positive injury update ahead of their match against Newcastle, mentioning that Rico Henry, Aaron Hickey and Gustavo Nunes could be in contention to return to the squad for this match.

However, the Brentford boss also confirmed that midfielder Fabio Carvalho is now likely to miss the remainder of the season with a shoulder injury.

In terms of potential difference-makers in this match, it’s tough to look past Bryan Mbeumo, who notched up his 16th goal of the season after converting from the spot against the Toons in midweek.
