The Cleveland Browns Stadium will host the international friendly between Brazil and Egypt on Saturday night. A Selecao have only lost one of their last five matches, and our prediction is that they will get the better of the Pharaohs in this match.
Brazil were far from convincing during the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers, but their 28 points from 18 matches (W8 D4 L6) were enough to secure fifth place and a spot in the global tournament.
A Selecao made light work of Panama (6-2) on Sunday evening. Their record now reads as W6 D1 L3 across their last 10 matches, and they scored two or more goals in seven matches during this period.
Brazil have faced this opponent three times across all competitions since the turn of the century and have won all three encounters, scoring nine goals in total in those matches.
Meanwhile, after the disappointment of failing to qualify for the 2022 World Cup, Egypt stormed through qualifying for the upcoming edition, going unbeaten in their 10 CAF WCQ games (W8 D2).
The Pharaohs scored 20 goals in their qualifying campaign, but their greatest strength was their defence, which conceded just two goals - the joint-second-fewest of the participating CAF nations.
Egypt beat Russia 1-0 last Thursday and have now kept clean sheets in their last four matches, dating back to their third-place playoff against Nigeria in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
