Everton will travel to the South Coast to take on Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon. With four of these sides’ last six league encounters producing 2-4 goals, we’re backing another game to fall within that range here as our main prediction.
Marco Rose’s tenure at the Vitality began with disappointment, as the Cherries saw their club-record 18-match unbeaten run come to an end in a 2-1 defeat at the Etihad Stadium last week. Still, bookmakers fancy the hosts to bounce back here, as they have only lost one of their last nine games across all competitions against the team from Merseyside.
David Moyes’ men ended the 2025-26 campaign winless in their final seven league games, but they will arrive on the south coast this week in high spirits. The Toffees have won both their games this season without conceding a single goal while scoring six - can they keep their flawless record this term intact on enemy territory? Let’s get into the key stats!

Bournemouth - Everton: Form Analysis
Bournemouth were left gutted last weekend when a late onslaught by Manchester City saw them lose their league opener 2-1 and brought an end to their club-record 18-match unbeaten run.
Over the course of the 90 at the Etihad, the Cherries only had 34% possession and finished with 0.63 xG, but they managed to record four shots on target and converted their only big chance of the match.
This is the hosts’ first home league game of the season, and they have not tasted defeat at the Vitality in their last nine EPL matches here, though only three of those games ended in victory (D6)!
Bournemouth have only lost one of their last nine home games against Everton in all competitions!
Meanwhile, after a very poor end to last season, which saw them finish in 13th place, Everton kicked off the 2026-27 league campaign with an impressive 2-0 victory at home to Crystal Palace.
The Toffees followed up on that result with a commanding 4-0 victory over Preston in the EFL Cup in midweek, where they recorded a staggering 29 shots at goal, including 10 attempts on target.
However, this will be a true test for the visitors, as they were winless in their final five away league games last term (D2 L3) and conceded two or more goals in all but one match during that period.

Bournemouth & Everton Squad Analysis
Marcus Tavernier netted Bournemouth’s only goal against the Citizens last week and was the team’s most attacking player, recording two shots at goal and finishing with a team-high 0.40 xG.
The Cherries completed the signing of goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio on loan from Juventus in the past week, but Djordje Petrovic is expected to remain as the team’s first-choice between the sticks for the foreseeable future.
The hosts have a handful of injury absentees for this match, including Eli Junior Kroupi, Amine Adli, Veljko Milosavljevic and Julian Araujo. However, Ryan Christie is expected to rejoin the squad this week following his suspension.
Will Iliman Ndiaye feature for Everton this weekend?
The Senegalese international has been in the headlines over the past few days, with reports indicating that Manchester City are seriously considering signing him before the transfer window closes on September 1.
As a result, Moyes may opt to leave the 26-year-old forward out for this match, which could open the door for Brennan Johnson to start the game after coming off the bench to score against Preston in midweek.
Thierno Barry has already netted four goals in his two games this season, including a hat-trick in the EFL Cup. Christian Norgaard, Hayden Kackney, and Tim Iroegbunam are ruled out through injury.

Our Bournemouth vs Everton Prediction
Despite losing their opening match of the season to Man City last week, there were plenty of positives for Marco Rose to take from his side’s performance, and they will fancy their chances of taking something from this one given their home record against the Toffees.
Everton were mightily impressive in their first two games of the new campaign, but their away record leading up to the end of last season was concerning. We do not see a clear favourite in this match, but we expect a few goals before the final whistle. Therefore, our Bournemouth vs Everton prediction is 2-4 match goals.
