13th placed Bournemouth are looking increasingly safe from relegation. They host Chelsea who are 12th in the table and begin to wonder what it's like to avoid defeat. The two sides are level on points which either shows how much Bournemouth have improved or just how had Chelsea's form has been. Bournemouth looked candidates for an immediate return to the Championship but are now nine points clear of the bottom three. Their most recent Premier League fixture saw them beat Leeds United at home. That was their fourth league win in five games, the other a home loss to West Ham United. That's compared to their visitors who have just one point from their last five league matches. Home form has seen Bournemouth win three of their last five Premier League games.

When you bring a new boss the results often improve but not at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea have played six games since Frank Lampard made his return and every single one of them has been lost. It'd probably be rather humiliating for the club owners to sack Lampard. Heaven knows what Graham Potter must be thinking of it all. Chelsea earned 19 points from their first nine league fixtures and it's a good job they started so well. Since then just 20 have come from the 24 games that have followed. But for that good start they'd be in relegation trouble despite all the million sold. Tuesday saw them lose 3-1 at Arsenal and the Blues have only won at Leicester City in their last 11 league matches with three of the last four lost.
