Real Betis and Real Sociedad will square off in the final La Liga clash set for Sunday in matchday 24. Seventh placed Sociedad and 11th placed Betis have one thing in common- their chase for European football. Let’s take a look at the facts from the match before issuing a prediction.

After two winless outings in La Liga, Real Betis found their perfect outing in the Conference League. They are coming off a 3-0 away win at Gent, another match in which new boy Antony shone.

The Brazilian scored for the second straight game and Betis have now hit two or more goals in the last three matches. Their last league game ended in a 3-2 defeat at Celta Vigo.

Real Sociedad were also in action in Europe on Thursday. They claimed a 2-1 away victory at Midtjylland, their third straight win. With just a loss in their last five matches, Real Sociedad have warmed up well for Betis.

It looks like an interesting game ahead, with Sociedad also having scored twice in each of the last three matches. They have struggled in La Liga lately though, and that could peg them back. In the last four league matches, Real Sociedad lost three times.
