The fourth round of 16 clash at the 2025 FIVB Volleyball World Championships will see Belgium take on Finland on Sunday afternoon. The winner of this match between the Red Dragons and the Brothers will meet either Argentina or Italy in the quarter-finals. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

After failing to qualify for the World Championships in 2022, number 16 seeds Belgium have been one of the surprise packages at this year’s competition. 

The Red Dragons stunned the reigning champions Italy during the group stage, en route to top spot in the Pool F with a perfect record of three wins from three matches. They beat Gli Azzurri 3-2 while overcoming Algeria and Ukraine 3-0. 

In their last match, opposite spiker Ferre Reggers racked up a very impressive 19 points, which made him the leading scorer in the competition so far with 73 points.  

Meanwhile, another surprise entry in the last 16 of the World Championships is number 23 seed Finland, who pipped number two seeds France to a qualification spot in their group. 

The Brothers’ only defeat in the competition was against table-topping Argentina before they held off Les Bleus to a 3-2 victory and clinched their round of 16 spot by beating South Korea 3-1. 

Joonas Jokela and Luka Marttila combined for 46 points in Belgium’s last match and are fourth and sixth, respectively, in the points scorers table at this competition.
