Bayer Leverkusen welcomes Augsburg to the Bay Arena for this second round match in the German Bundesliga. The home team started their campaign of with a 1-0 loss to Borussia Dortmund in their first match and will be desperate to bounce back with a win. Leverkusen will be trying to avoid three successive defeats after also being knocked out of the German Cup by Bundesliga 3 side Elversberg. Their recent results have been surprising considering they had a decent pre-season which included three wins and a draw. Leverkusen will need an urgent improvement in form if they are to replicate their performance of last season when they finished in third place. Augsburg also started their Bundesliga campaign with a loss as they were defeated 4-0 by Freiburg.
