Australia will face Brazil for the second time in four days when they meet in a Tuesday friendly international in Brisbane. The latest meeting between these nations last Thursday ended 1-1, leaving Australia still searching for a second win against Brazil. A good run at home has Australia avoiding defeat as per our prediction.

Australia were so close to a win in the meeting with Brazil last week but were pegged back by a late goal. The Socceroos took the lead through the in-form Nestory Irankunda but they conceded in stoppage time.

In their eight matches against Brazil, Australia have managed one win. They will be confident of completing the job after getting close last week. Home form should come as a boost, having won eight of 11 home matches.

Brazil had trouble in their last game as they struggled to break down the Socceroos. Estevao had a first-half goal disallowed before his replacement, Rayan, scored a late equalizer to spare their blushes.

The former world champions had a poor game but will be happy to avoid defeat. Now they are looking to bag a first win in three outings, having earlier lost 2-1 against Norway at the World Cup.

There will be pressure on manager Carlo Ancelotti, who arrived with much fanfare but has only managed 10 wins in his opening 18 games.
