Monaco will begin their 2025/26 EuroLeague campaign at home, where they will welcome Kaunas Zalgiris. The two teams split two well-fought-out battles in last season’s campaign. Read on to find our prediction for this match.

Monaco had a splendid campaign in Europe last season and will approach this one with the intent of being crowned champions. Vassilis Spanoulis’ men made it all the way to the championship game, where they were unfortunately stopped by Fenerbahce.

It was the first time the French bigwigs had made it to the final, surpassing their third-place finish from two seasons prior. La Roca won 21 regular-season matches and finished fourth, with one of those victories being an OT home success over Zalgiris.

Monaco, who began their season less than a fortnight ago, arrive with a three-match domestic winning streak.

Zalgiris had a poor campaign last season and missed out on the playoffs. The Lithuanian heavyweights finished in 13th place with 15 victories in 34 games. Finishing the year three games back on the play-in bracket, Zalgiris won just one of their final five fixtures.

They also ended things with five consecutive away fixtures, leading to a 5-12 record in such matches. Though they would go on to be crowned domestic league champions, the dismal performance in Europe forced a coaching change.

Tomas Masiulis, who was part of Fener’s success last year, is the new head coach. Zalgiris have won six consecutive games starting from preseason. They are coming off an 84-71 domestic league win over Neptunas.
