Second placed Arsenal are home to defending champions Manchester City on Sunday afternoon. City are fourth in the table but will be as low as sixth in the table if Newcastle and Bournemouth pick up points on Saturday. Here's our match prediction.
The Gunners begin the weekend six points behind leaders Liverpool. The gap could be as much as nine if the Reds win away at Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon. Arsenal really can't afford to drop more points, especially as Liverpool will have a game in hand on them.
Manchester City are six points behind their opponents and had a nervous midweek. They had to come from behind to win over Club Brugge and reach the Champions League play-off stages. While the Citizens have won their last two Premier League games, they are still a dozen points behind Liverpool and will be hoping Bournemouth can beat them this weekend. It seems their main task now is to ensure a top four finish is achieved.

Arsenal - Manchester City: Form Analysis
Arsenal won 2-1 at Girona on Wednesday to clinch their place in the last 16 of the Champions League. That was their third successive victory after wins against Dinamo Zagreb and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
In the Premier League, the Gunners are unbeaten in their last 13 games since an away loss at Newcastle United. Five games have been drawn though and that's allowed Liverpool to open up a gap at the top of the table.
Arsenal are yet to lose a home league game this season.
Home form has seen Arsenal win seven and draw four league games. They are the only side in the Premier League yet to suffer a home league defeat this season.
Manchester City have come through their bad patch but still look a vulnerable side at times. That was shown in that midweek win over Club Brugge. The Blues are unbeaten in their last six league fixtures with four of the last five being won.
On the road, City have won two of their last three league matches with ten goals scored.

Arsenal & Manchester City Squad Analysis
After his sending off against Wolves was overturned, Myles Lewis-Skelly is able to be selected against Manchester City. David Raya is doubtful for this match and if he can't play then Neto will be between the sticks for them.
The Gunners continue to be without Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka, Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu. Attempts to sign Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa have so far been unsuccessful. Leading the line for the home side will be Kai Havertz, with the German having found the net 14 times in 32 appearances across all competitions so far this season.
New signings could feature for City.
Manchester City have been busy in the transfer market and their three signings are all able to play this weekend. That wasn't the case for the midweek Champions League match. Abdukodir Khusanov, Omar Marmoush and Vitor Reis could all feature against Arsenal.
There are still plenty of injury problems for City though and none of those on the injured list are fit enough yet to make their return.

Our Arsenal vs Manchester City Prediction
The last two Arsenal home league games have seen both teams score. That looks a statistic that could well come up again this weekend as they host Manchester City. The statistics for previous meetings between these two Premier League giants certainly points us in that direction.
Both teams are in good form at present but keeping clean sheets isn't happening a great deal. While Arsenal still need a new striker, they should be able to score against City's often fragile defence. Our main Arsenal v Manchester City prediction is both teams to score.
