2024 losing finalist Danielle Collins is again going well in the Internationaux de Strasbourg. The unseeded player takes on Anna Kalinskaya who caused a big shock in the last round of this outdoor clay court tournament. Here's our match prediction.
Collins has made a good start to her clay court season with six of her eight matches being won. The 31-year-old is in her second quarter-final of the year on this surface after getting to this stage in Charleston.
Her good form has continued and in Rome, Collins beat Iga Swiatek. This tournament has seen her have a tricky draw but had good wins over Sofia Kenin and Emma Raducanu. Both matches went to a final set and the American had to come from behind to defeat Raducanu.
Anna Kalinskaya knocked out top seed Jessica Pegula in the last round. The 26-year-old had a disastrous hard court season this year with a 1-6 record. It's gone better on clay though with four of her seven matches being won.
Before beating Pegula, Kalinskaya had a three-set win over Caroline Dolehide. To reach the last four, Kalinskaya must beat Collins for the first time after two defeats, both on hard courts
