Second placed Marseille are looking to keep their title hopes alive with a win over Angers in their Sunday Ligue 1 meeting. Angers arrive for this game placed 12th while their visitors are second. We have the preview for this match below.

Angers’ recent rise has taken a hit in the past few league matches. A 3-1 win over Strasbourg in the French Cup will build their confidence coming into this game.

The win came off the back of two straight winless league matches – a loss to Lens and a draw with Le Havre. With just one loss in the last eight matches, Angers will feel capable of shocking their higher-ranked visitors.

Marseille have also struggled in recent Ligue 1 matches and as a result lost key ground to league leaders PSG. On 40 points though, they remain the closest challengers to PSG for the league title.
