Andrey Rublev vs Roman Safiullin Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Beijing Open

Hangzhou Open runner-up Andrey Rublev is unseeded in this ATP 500 tournament. He faces Roman Safiullin in round two of the outdoor hard court China Open and his opponent received a special exemption to play in Beijing.  Rublev is bidding to reach his fifth ATP Tour quarter-final of the year and our prediction is he will win this match.

The winner will take on either fifth seed Alex de Minaur or unseeded Quentin Halys in the last eight.

In his latest tournament, Rublev made it all the way to the final in Hangzhou, but was beaten by Daniil Medvedev.

Round one saw Rublev defeat Tallon Griekspoor in three sets, losing the middle one.

There's been one previous meeting between these players. Safiullin won that, but it was played on grass..

Roman Safiullin was 84th in the latest rankings, 60 places below Rublev.

This year has seen him win six of his ten outdoor hard court matches, compared to Rublev's 16-10 record.

The first round saw him beat fourth-seeded Flavio Cobolli for the loss of five games. That took him into the second round of an ATP Tour tournament on this surface for the first time this year. He hasn't made it to the third round on this surface since last year's Miami Masters.
