Aleksandar Kovacevic vs Alex Michelsen Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Geneva Open

With Roland Garros just a week away, Alex Michelsen looks for some improved form on clay. He takes on qualifier Aleksandar Kovacevic in round one of the Geneva Open. Both are American and the winner will face compatriot Taylor Fritz in round two and he's the third seed this week. Michelsen is still only 19 and at 65th in the live rankings. His form on clay isn't too consistent and he's been struggling for form in recent weeks. He failed to get past the first round in both Madrid and Rome and lost in the qualifying rounds in Monte Carlo. Michelsen lost in the first qualifying round in that tournament. His best result on clay this year was reaching the second round in Munich. To get that far he beat a player ranked 473rd at tte time. His most recent tournament was the Challenger Tour event held in Oeiras where he was the top seed but lost in the last 16. He lost to Dennis Novak who's ranked outside the top 200.

Alesandar Kovacevic had to qualify to get into the main draw of this clay court tournament. That proved to be a real struggle with both of his qualifiers going to a final set. In both matches it was the middle set that he dropped. Like his opponent he hasn't been having a good run on clay this year. After a first round exit in Rome he played in the Bordeaux Challenger Tour event and lost in the first round. That was his fourth straight loss on clay so the two wins in the qualifying rounds will have boosted his confidence. We believe he can use that to get the win here.
