Simone Inzaghi's Al Ahli are unbeaten in the league this season, drawing two and winning one of their three games. Those results leave them seventh in the table with five points. In contrast, Al Akhdoud have lost all three of the matches that they have played this season, with Paulo Sergio's team sitting at the bottom of the Saudi Pro League table.
One positive for the home team is that they have won two of their last three, both in cup competitions. They defeated Al Duhail 2-1 at home in the Asian Champions League before drawing 3-3 away to Al Ahli at the weekend, in a game they were 3-0 up. In midweek, they were in the King's Cup of Champions action and beat Al Adalah 1-0 away.
Al Akhdoud's season started with a 5-2 defeat to Al Ittihad and a 3-2 loss to Al Taawoun, both at home. Last weekend, they were beaten 1-0 away by newly-promoted Neom, but did secure a first win of the season in the King's Cup of Champions in midweek, beating Al-Raed 1-0 away from home.
