Women's Sprint Predictions & Betting tips - Olympics

 by Enzo Tregoat |

With the Individual now decided, attention shifts to the Women’s Sprint on Saturday, February 14, at the 2026 Winter Olympics. Covering 7.5 kilometers, this explosive format always delivers drama, with the top 60 finishers earning qualification for the Pursuit a few days later.

The race looks wide open on paper, but one athlete stands out as the early favorite: Lou Jeanmonnot. Still frustrated after settling for silver in the Individual, the overall World Cup leader will arrive highly motivated. Her ski speed remains exceptional, and she has the tools to dominate and handle the pressure on the range.

However, the competition will be fierce, particularly from Italy’s Lisa Vittozzi. After a disappointing 37th place finish in the Individual, Vittozzi will be determined to respond. The 2024 overall World Cup champion possesses rapid shooting speed that can change the complexion of a race in seconds. The question is whether that will be enough to thrust her into the fight for gold.

Another serious contender is Franziska Preuß. In contention for a podium finish in the Individual until her final shooting bout, the German made her only two mistakes at the worst possible moment. Nevertheless, she showed strong form on the skis, and as last season’s overall World Cup winner and a former world silver medalist in this discipline, she cannot be overlooked.

Special mentions: Dorothea Wierer, Justine Braisaz-Bouchet, Suvi Minkkinen.

Our Women's Sprint - Olympics prediction

This Sprint promises to be highly competitive, with several biathletes realistically in contention for the podium. Among the leading medal candidates, Lou Jeanmonnot is once again expected to play a central role.

Disappointed after narrowly missing out on gold in the Individual, the Frenchwoman will arrive with added determination. Given her current form and impressive ski speed, it would come as no surprise to see her fighting at the front of the field in Antholz-Anterselva during this Olympic Sprint.

Our pronostic for the Women's Sprint : Lou Jeanmonnot podium!
