Men's sprint Predictions & Betting tips - Olympics

 by Enzo Tregoat |

After the first individual men’s event provided valuable insight into current form, attention now turns to the Sprint at the 2026 Winter Olympics, scheduled for Friday, February 13 in Antholz-Anterselva.

Beaten by just 14 seconds in the 20km Individual despite an impressive 19/20 shooting performance, Éric Perrot had every reason to feel frustrated. One missed target and the resulting one-minute penalty ultimately cost him dearly. However, the Frenchman, who leads the World Cup standings, demonstrated outstanding ski speed and confirmed that he remains a serious contender for victory, or at the very least a podium finish, in the remaining Olympic races.

Gold medalist in the Individual, Johan-Olav Botn reminded everyone why he dominated the early part of the season. Calm and flawless on the shooting range, the Norwegian delivered a perfect 20/20 to secure the Olympic title. With his worst result in this discipline this season being fourth place, Botn enters the Sprint as one of the clear favorites at these 2026 Winter Games.

Meanwhile, Tommaso Giacomel will be aiming for redemption on home snow. The Italian, who has already claimed two Sprint victories this season, struggled in the Individual and will be eager to respond. The Sprint format better suits his profile, and racing in front of a supportive crowd, Giacomel should be considered a major threat in the battle for gold.

Special mentions to: Sturla Holm Lagreid, Johannes Dale, Émilien Jacquelin.
