Men's Relay Predictions & Betting tips - Olympics
by Enzo Tregoat |
This men’s relay in Antholz-Anterselva on Tuesday 17 February looks set to deliver a proper heavyweight duel between Norway and France, the two nations that have been sharing the medals since the start of the 2026 Winter Olympics.
As the reigning world and Olympic champions, Norway arrive aiming to defend their crown. On paper, their relay has real depth, with Sturla Holm Lægreid, Vetle Christiansen, John Olav Botn and Johannes Dale all in line to chase Olympic gold. Given the individual results posted by their athletes over the Olympic fortnight, Norway will travel to Antholz-Anterselva with one clear target: victory.
France look like the Norwegians’ main challengers once again, as they have been for several seasons now. Les Bleus can call on a quartet that has impressed throughout these Games, featuring Quentin Fillon Maillet, Éric Perrot, Émilien Jacquelin and Fabien Claude. The French have already managed to beat Norway this season in Ruhpolding, a statement result they will be hoping to reproduce on Tuesday.
Behind the two leading forces in men’s biathlon, the rest of the field should be battling it out for the remaining spot on the podium. Sweden, led by Martin Ponsiluoma and Sebastian Samuelsson, Italy with Tommaso Giacomel, and Germany spearheaded by Philipp Horn all have the tools to take a medal, and perhaps even more if Norway or France fail to deliver a clean relay.

Our Men's Relay - Olympics prediction
As the clear pre-race favourites, Norway should be well placed to take Olympic gold in this men’s relay. Their line-up offers a rare mix of composure, pace on the tracks and accuracy on the range, with four athletes who each bring different strengths to the table. If the shooting holds up, it will be extremely difficult, perhaps even impossible, for anyone to topple the Scandinavians on Tuesday.
