Federico Coria vs Denis Shapovalov Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Geneva Open

Wild card Denis Shapovalov is up against unseeded Federico Coria in the opening round of the Geneva Open. For the winner, there's a match in the last 16 against either sixth seed Tallon Griekspoor or unseeded Christopher Eubanks. These players are in the same quarter of the draw of this clay court event as top seeded Novak Djokovic. Shapovalov is currently 123rd in the live rankings which is 54 places below his opponent. His last tournament was the Italian Open where he lost in three sets to Luciano Darderi with two of them going to a tie-break. He had a good run in Madrid recently, making it to the third round after beating two top 50 ranked players before being beaten by Alexander Zverev. 

Coria is not in the best of form coming into this match. Last week saw him play the Challenger Tour event held in Turin and lost in the second round to fourth seed Lorenzo Sonego. He'd had problems in round one, needing to go to a final set to beat Jurij Rodionov. He played in that event because of his early exit in the Italian Open where Coria lost in the first qualifying round. It's a far cry from his form earlier in the year on the South American clay court swing. He reached the last four in both Cordoba and Buenos Aires and was a runner-up in a Challenger Tour event. It's not gone so well in Europe with him also failing to qualify for the main draw in Madrid and on the ATP Tour he's failed to win more than one main draw match in his last seven tournaments. This could be a close match and we go for Shapovalov to win.
