It looked as if Everton were going to have their ninth league draw of the season at Newcastle on Saturday. However a late goal from Tom Cleverley gave them the three points. That took them to ninth in the table and six points off the top four. With talk of a takeover in the air 2016 could be an interesting one for Everton. Home form has been good in recent weeks with only Leicester beating them but they need to get more consistency because they just draw too many games. Stoke begin Monday in 11th place but are only three points behind sixth placed Manchester United who they beat at home on Saturday. That's a draw, a loss and a win in their last three league games and that just about sums Stoke up. They find it hard to keep scoring on a constant basis and don't seem able to put together a good run. Away form is a struggle and only once have they managed to score two in an away league game this season. That was in their opening away game of the season when they came back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Spurs. Stoke do come here confident after that win over United and I think they can grab a low scoring draw at Goodison Park.
