Defending Belarus Premier League champions Dinamo Brest have four points from their first two games of the new season. That's left them in fifth place and they host Slavia Mozyr who are 10th in the table. Dinamo Brest won the title last season by five points but had to come from behind against Smolevich to get a 1-1 draw in their opener. They got off the mark for the season with a 1-0 win at Slutsk. Dinamo are now unbeaten in their last 22 competitive games and no losses in their last nine home league matches.
Slavia finished eighth in the league last season, earning just less than half the points earned by their opponents. Their new season got off to a disastrous start as they lost 3-1 at Slutsk. They actually took the lead in the first half but were overwhelmed by their opponents and sunk to a loss. They got their first win with a 2-1 win over BATE Borisov. Slavia went a goal down after ten minutes but two goals from Nikita Meinikov gave them their first victory.
