Paul Onuachu - Trabzonspor 

Paul Onuachu returned to Trabzonspor on a permanent transfer from EFL Championship side Southampton last summer following a highly successful loan spell with the Turkish club, and the decision to bring him back permanently has since proven to be a masterstroke. 

The 32-year-old was in sensational form during the 2025-26 campaign, scoring 24 goals in 33 appearances across all competitions, and his prolific form has reportedly caught the attention of several clubs in Turkey and the Middle East. 

The strongest interest is believed to be coming from several Saudi Arabian clubs, although Trabzonspor are reluctant to part ways with their Nigerian talisman. It is understood that the Turkish side have received offers in the region of €20m - €25m but remain unwilling to sanction his departure. 

Akor Adams - Sevilla

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Akor Adams is closing in on a move from La Liga outfit Sevilla to newly promoted Italian side Venezia, with the Serie A club said to have agreed a €16m deal for his services for the 2026-27 season.

Venezia have enjoyed a major financial boost since rapper Drake became a minority investor through APEX Capital in the summer of 2024. His involvement came at a crucial time for the club, helping to strengthen its financial position and ease concerns over potential bankruptcy. 

Adams found the net 10 times in 32 La Liga appearances last term and played a key role in helping Sevilla escape relegation by a single point. The Super Eagles striker will now be looking to produce similar numbers as Venezia prepare for life back in Italy’s top flight. 

Justin Njinmah - Werder Bremen

Nigeria-eligible forward Justin Njinmah is reportedly emerging as a transfer target for several English clubs, with newly promoted Premier League side Hull City and Championship outfit Southampton among those said to be monitoring his situation at Werder Bremen. 

The Bundesliga club is understood to be keen to retain the striker after he scored five goals during the 2025-26 league season. However, his pace and versatility have caught the eye of both English teams, who are looking to add greater firepower and flexibility to their ranks.

Wolves Cancel Training After Tolu Arokodare Incident

Super Eagles’ forward Tolu Arokodare has reportedly been omitted from Wolverhampton Wanderers’ squad for Wednesday’s pre-season friendly against Maidenhead United amid an alleged disciplinary incident ahead of the match. 

It is understood that Wolves were forced to cancel a training session after Arokodare refused to leave the pitch when instructed to stop training with the first team. The club is also said to have increased security at its training the following day. 

The incident has cast further doubt over the 25-year-old’s future at Molineux, with Serie A clubs Genoa and Fiorentina reportedly keeping a close eye on the Nigerian striker ahead of the new campaign.
