The first full week of the 2026 Pakistan Super League is now in the books, and the Karachi Kings have announced themselves as the team to catch with three wins in three. The Multan Sultans are on four points, and are the only other team still unbeaten in the competition.

Sahibzada Farhan powers MS to upper echelons of PSL leaderboard

We are 10 matches into the 2026 Pakistan Super League season, and the leaderboard is starting to take shape, with the Multan Sultans taking an early lead with two wins in two, while the Hyderabad Kingsmen and Rawalpindiz are yet to get off the mark.

The Sultans kicked off their campaign with an impressive five-wicket victory over Islamabad United last weekend, thanks to an excellent performance by teenage spin sensation Momin Qamar, who bagged three wickets for just 24 runs in his four overs before Josh Philippe led the team to victory with 55 (35) in their chase.

MS faced a much tougher test in their second match of the competition against the Hyderabad Kingsmen, who set an imposing total on 225/5 batting first. However, Sahibzada Farhan smashed what is still the only century in the competition, as his side got to their target with eight balls to spare.

Farhan was also the top scorer with 383 runs at the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup earlier this year!

However, the Sultans were overtaken on Thursday by the Karachi Kings, who racked up back-to-back wins in their first two matches of the competition against the Quetta Gladiators (by 14 runs) and the Lahore Qalanders (by four wickets) - both at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

The Kings continued their momentum yesterday afternoon when they became the first team to win three games, defeating the Rawalpindiz by five wickets, courtesy of stellar knocks by Azam Khan and Australian opener David Warner.

In terms of the stats leaders, Farhan is the leading run scorer after the first week with 108, only two runs ahead of Shamyl Hussain of the Queta Gladiators. Hasan Ali has taken five wickets in the competition, while Shaheen Shah Afridi holds the best individual bowling figures of 4/18.
