The first full week of the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup is now in the books, and four teams have come through the first two rounds of matches unbeaten. India and England currently lead Group A and B, respectively, heading into a big weekend of action.

India’s Stars Shining on Grandest Stage After Two Rounds

We are 13 games into the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup, and the standings are starting to take shape, with India, Australia, England and the West Indies heading into the second weekend of the competition with perfect records of two wins from two.

The Women in Blue confirmed our Women’s T20 World Cup predictions by thrashing arch-enemies Pakistan in their opening match of the competition before proving far too good for the Netherlands in game two on Wednesday afternoon.

India are currently sat top of the Group A standings ahead of Australia thanks to their superior run rate. Smriti Mandhana has been excellent, scoring back-to-back half-centuries in the first two games - she is now the top scorer in the tournament with 142 runs.

With the ball, Sree Charani sits at the top of the leading wicket-taker table with seven scalps in her two matches. Star spinner Deepti Sharma, on the other hand, has the best individual bowling figures of 5/10.

Deepti Sharma is the only bowler to take a five-fer in the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup in Week 1!

Aside from the ODI world champions, Australia have also shot out the blocks in Group A and could take top spot overnight if they win their third match of the tournament against the Netherlands at the Rose Bowl in Hampshire later today.

Over in Group B, England and the West Indies are on four points apiece after their first two games. The tournament co-hosts are in action later this evening at Headingley, and you can find all the info for the match in our England vs Scotland prediction
