PKL 12: Pro Kabaddi League 2025 schedule announced with Haryana and Pune among favourites to win Season 12

Pro Kabaddi League 2025 set to commence on August 29

After a sensational pre-season auction, Season 12 of the Pro Kabaddi League is shaping up to be one of the best and most competitive ever, with all 12 teams set to try and succeed the Haryana Steelers as the next PKL champion. 

As with last year, each participating team will contest a total of 22 games in a round-robin format in 2025. The top two teams will advance to the semi-final, while the next four will move to the eliminator round and will compete for the remaining two slots. 

It has now been confirmed that the 2025 PKL season will get underway on August 29 at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Vizag, with the Telugu Titans listed to meet the Tamil Thalaivas, while the Bengaluru Bulls and Puneri Paltan will face off later the same day. 

A total of four cities will host the PKL this year, including Jaipur, Chennai and Delhi. After Vizag, the tournament will head to the SMS Stadium in Jaipur from September 12, headlined by the Pink Panthers facing the Bulls. Speaking after the schedule’s confirmation, League Commissioner Anupam Goswami said: 

Ahead of the season’s commencement, the Haryana Steelers are currently installed as the favourites to retain their PKL title. PKL 12 will be broadcast live on Star Sports, with streaming available on the JioHotStar app and website.

As mentioned, the 2025 PKL season is set to kick off on August 29 in Vizag, before heading to Jaipur, Chennai and Delhi, respectively. The defending champions, Haryana Steelers, get their title defence underway on August 31 against the Bengal Warriorz. Here is the full schedule for Season 12:
