India’s premier domestic cup competition, the 2025 AIFF Super Cup, is set to enter the knockout stage, with the four semi-finalists now confirmed. The semi-finals of the competition will be played back-to-back on December 4, while the grand final will be staged on December 7 in Goa.

Semi-final 1: East Bengal FC vs. Punjab FC

The first of two blockbuster semi-finals in the 2025 AIFF Super Cup will see East Bengal take on Punjab FC in Fatorda on December 4, and you can view all of our experts’ insights via our football predictions ahead of the match.

Both teams came through the group stages unbeaten, with East Bengal edging out Indian Super League champions Mohun Bagan Super Giant on goal difference after the local rivals played to a tense goalless draw.

Meanwhile, Punjab FC topped Group C in the group stages, securing seven points with two wins and a draw. However, the most impressive part of their performance was maintaining a flawless defensive record, having not conceded a single goal in their three games.

The Shers' final match in the group stage went to penalties against Bengaluru FC, and goalkeeper Muheet Shabir emerged as the hero, denying Ryan Williams from the spot to secure a 5-4 victory and seal his team’s place in the final four of the Super Cup for the first time.

Semi-final 2: FC Goa vs. Mumbai City FC

The Gaurs lost their final match in the group stage to NorthEast United FC, but got through having taken the maximum six points from their first two group-stage matches, while NEUFC had only managed back-to-back draws from their games.

Group D was arguably the most entertaining in the competition and included one of the biggest shocks of the competition, with I-League outfit Rajasthan United pulling off a 1-0 win over ISL giants Mumbai FC.

However, the Islanders secured victory against Delhi before beating Kerala Blasters 1-0 in the final match. While the Yellow Army and Mumbai both ended on six points each after three games, the Islanders clinched top spot on head-to-head points.
