Sitting top of their group after the first round of games, the Scots continue their World Cup campaign on Friday. This time, they’re up against a very strong Morocco team. The pair will clash in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
The Scots ended their 28-year wait for World Cup action on Saturday evening, when in Boston, the Tartan Army treated their fans to a special win, beginning their Group C journey with a single-goal victory over Haiti. For the Moroccans, there was no win, but the men from North Africa delivered a sturdy performance against the Brazilians, tying 1-1.
The early lines ahead of this game favor the Atlas Lions, who should have the quality to seriously test their opponents, but the Scots cannot be discounted. ‘Both Teams to Score’ rates as a more than viable option at odds of +115.

Scotland - Morocco: Form Analysis
It was probably always going to be somewhat scrappy from the Scots, as they battled desperately to end their long hiatus with a win, and it would be unfair to say that they dominated a Haiti team that also battled hard, but Steve Clarke’s men had the quality when it mattered most, getting the job done thanks to a goal from Aston Villa’s John McGinn, who became the man to give Scotland a first World Cup victory since 1990.
Sure, they couldn’t hang on, but they were far from second best against the most successful World Cup nation of all time, and off the back of that effort, the Atlas Lions should head to Boston feeling confident.
The way in which the Moroccans took the fight to the Brazilians early doors on gameday one was impressive. They weren’t scared of the occasion, they got on the front foot, played some fine combination soccer, and scored a well-worked goal through the impressive Ismail Sabbari, whose deft finish was easy on the eye. Sure, they couldn’t hang on, but they were far from second best against the most successful World Cup nation of all time, and off the back of that effort, the Atlas Lions should head to Boston feeling confident.

Scotland & Morocco Squad Analysis
Having seen his team pick up all three points during the first round of group games, Steve Clarke isn’t expected to make many changes to the Scotland lineup. John McGinn and Scott McTominay are once again expected to feature prominently, while Che Adams’ pace could be crucial against a forward-pushing Moroccan team, so he’s likely to continue leading the line alongside Lawrence Shankland.
There was nothing wrong with the way Mohamed Ouahbi’s men got down to business on Saturday evening, so we shouldn’t expect many changes.
Will the Moroccans switch it up after that opening-round tie with Brazil? Probably not. There was nothing wrong with the way Mohamed Ouahbi’s men got down to business on Saturday evening, so we shouldn’t expect many changes. Young midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi was arguably the best player for the Atlas Lions last time out, so he is expected to once again start. Defender Nayef Aguerd remains out, while there continues to be serious doubts over Abde Ezzalzouli’s fitness. Keeper and key man Bono took a few knocks against Brazil but is not expected to miss out.

Our Scotland vs Morocco Prediction
The Scots didn't concede during the first round of games, but it's not like they didn't give up chances, so it's far from difficult to see a team that is much stronger than the Haitians thriving offensively here. We saw the Moroccans create some decent chances against Brazil, but they also looked quite open at times, and we know that the Tartan Army can be a threat on the break in big games, leaving us to conclude that 'Both Teams to Score' is a little generously priced at odds of +115. After all, in the last year or so, both teams have done a fien job of scoring in competitive games.
Our Scotland vs Morocco Pick: Both Teams to Score.
