The New England Patriots (5-3, 3-0 Home) will try to remain undefeated at home this week when they host the Green Bay Packers (5-3, 2-2 Away) Sunday at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA. Fans can follow the action on Fox once the game gets underway at 4:25 p.m. EST.
Both teams have had uneven seasons so far. The offense looked terrible in the season-opening loss to the Seahawks, didn’t look much better the following week in a win over the Steelers, and was terrible against the Jaguars. But they have since responded with strong wins over the Bills, Raiders, and Jets before losing to the Bears. While last week's game vs. Miami was ugly, they escaped with a win.
Green Bay has followed a similar trajectory this season, with a disappointing loss to pen the season against Minnesota after collapsing in the second half. They played well enough to steal a win from the Jets the following week before getting embarrassed by Atlanta. They have since won four of their last five, including a decisive win over the Chicago Bears, 31-7.
After struggling to run the ball for the first six weeks, the Packers have high hopes for the run game with Josh Jacobs back in the lineup. But he has yet to get on track, gaining 75 yards on 32 carries over the last two weeks.

Green Bay has been on a roll, playing great football on both sides of the ball the last few weeks. The defense has been humming, and Jordan Love has been playing well (first in air yards and fourth in completion percentage). New England’s defense will make them work for every yard and point, but the problem may be scoring points themselves with several offensive players out with injuries (Mack Hollins, TreVeyon Henderson, and A.J. Browns; Hunter Henry is questionable). Green Bay’s defense should be able to handle a depleted Patriots offense and lead the Packers to an upset win on the road.
