The Los Angeles Rams had Super Bowl aspirations before the season and seemed to have all the pieces on both sides of the ball to do it. However, they are currently just 4-4 and have had injuries to prominent parts of their defense. Sunday, they will be on the road against a struggling Washington Commanders team that is 2-4-1 in a terrible NFC East division.
The most recent injury concern for the Rams came on the offense. Matthew Stafford was dealing with some elbow soreness, but is reportedly ready go for this game. The last thing this Rams team needs is an injury to an offensive star after having those issues on defense. After a 2-4 start, the Rams have been able to get back to .500 after defeating the Raiders and Chargers in consecutive games. They did so in impressive fashion and won by a combined 27 points.
The Commanders lost a tight game against a tough 49ers team 23-17 before their bye week. After their bye, they came out and dominated the Philadelphia Eagles 27-10. They trailed 10-0 early before scoring 27 unanswered points in the win. The defense held the Eagles to just under 100 yards on the ground and picked up 5 sacks on Tanner McKee. They will be tested by a good Rams offense that has explosive playmakers on the ground and through the air.
