The Lions, with a 2-2 record, travel to State Farm Stadium to face the 1-3 Cardinals. This will be Detroit's first divisional opponent of the year, coming off a 32-26 loss to the Panthers. Arizona, meanwhile, has lost three games after winning their season opener; they fell 36-24 to the Giants on October 4.
In the loss to Carolina, Gauff threw for 412 yards and connected with LaPorta for a touchdown. They had a very strong offensive performance that dipped slightly in the fourth game. Even so, Gauff has yet to be intercepted this year, and Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jahmyr Gibbs are among the NFL's top 10 in rushing and receiving yards.
The Cardinals, in addition to their frustrating loss to the Giants, lost Paris Johnson Jr. to injury. Arizona's offense seems to function only in very short bursts, especially when QB Jacoby Brissett connects with Michael Wilson. Even so, and despite playing at home, the Cardinals remain heavy underdogs in the betting odds, and the Cardinals haven't beaten the Lions since 2011.
