After beating the Calgary Flames in their season opener, the Seattle Kraken hope to build on their momentum with a win over the Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Place on Saturday night. Given Edmonton’s shocking defensive displays, Lane Lambert’s team is in a great position to pick up two more points.
The Oilers started the season with a home-and-home set against the Vancouver Canucks, giving up 13 goals in two games. Incredibly, they still came away with three points from the matchups. With Connor McDavid on your side, you have a chance to win on most nights
McDavid has already racked up seven points (one goal, six assists) this season and will be difficult for Seattle to contain. However, Edmonton’s fragile defense should give the visitors a chance to push for a victory right until the end.
The Kraken don’t have outstanding offensive talent, but neither does Vancouver. Lambert’s men should still offer plenty going forward, and their offense looked good in the season-opening 6-1 win in Calgary. The team had six different scorers, and Jared McCann stood out as a playmaker, delivering three assists.
