Champions League chasing Manchester City and Brghton look horns at the Etihad on Saturday, in what looks like being one of the best games of the Premier League weekend. It has been a hugely disappointing season for City, and last week's defeat at Notts Forest means they face a massive battle just to achieve a top four finish. With the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Barnardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan all experiencing big dropoffs in form as they enter the final years of their career, manager Pep Guardiola faces a huge challenge in rebuilding this once unstoppable City squad. 

On the other hand, Brighton will be more than satisfied with their season so far and the future looks very bright for Fabian Hürzeler's side. The last gasp 2-1 victory over Fulham last Saturday means they are just three points outside the Champions League places. If they can pick up a surprise victory at the Etihad, they will go above City and move a big step closer to European football.

Our Manchester City vs Brighton Prediction

City are massive favorites for the three points, but there is little to suggest they will have things all their own way against one of the division's in-form sides. Notwithstanding the 7-0 thrashing at Notts Forest, Brighton have been flying in recent weeks and manager Fabian Hürzeler has done a remarkable job in his first season at the club. It's always tough to bet against City, espeically at the Etihad, but we think the Seagulls have the quality to claim a share of the spoils.
