The defending champion Seattle Seahawks have started things off with a 2-1 record and will host the struggling Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday afternoon.
The Seahawks are 2-1, but there are still big question marks surrounding this team. In game one, Sam Darnold went down with an injury against the Patriots. Drew Lock came in and righted the ship to pick up the 13-10 victory. Lock went on to start the following game against Arizona, where he and JSN combined for 155 yards and 3 touchdowns in the 31-7 win. Last week, Darnold returned, but the game was not in the Seahawks' favor. Darnold threw for 379 yards and 4 touchdowns, but he could not keep pace with the Washington Commanders. They turned the ball over 4 times, which helped the Commanders post 33 points in the 33-31 win.
Los Angeles had high hopes for the season. Harbaugh hired Mike McDaniel to run the offense over the offseason. Many thought he would provide the spark that Herbert and the offense needed to be a top-scoring team in the league. However, through the 1st three games of the season, the Chargers are averaging just 14.7 points per game, which is 29th in the league. With the defense struggling as well, allowing over 25 points per game, this LA team is having a hard time finding its identity, and it has resulted in a 0-3 start.

The Chargers offense has not found its footing, and we do not expect a road trip to Seattle to help things at all. Seattle is allowing just under 17 points per game and should be able to get pressure on Herbert throughout this contest. While the Seahawks offense has been able to put up numbers, we do not think they are going to do enough to push this one over the total. We like this to be a lower-scoring affair, with the team that covers to be a coin flip.
