The Baltimore Ravens will hit the road to take on the Indianapolis Colts to begin the season. Both teams finished 8-9 last year and missed the playoffs.
Indianapolis started out hot and Daniel Jones looked like a completely different quarterback in his Colts uniform compared to who he was as a New York Giant. Jonathan Taylor was leading the league in rushing yards and the Colts were the early trendy pick to make a Super Bowl run. However, Daniel Jones went down for the season and their schedule began to get much harder in the later part of their season. Now, Jones is back, and the Colts fans are excited to see another strong start to the season.
The Ravens were disappointing last season. With Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry on the offense, Baltimore is always a contender. However, the injury bug hit and Lamar was not his normal nimble self-last season. Zay Flowers finished with over 1200 receiving yards, but that did not translate into enough wins. This season, the Ravens will be run by a new head coach in Jesse Minter, who takes over for John Harbaugh. The change was needed and Minter brings a defensive mind to the team.
