The Philadelphia Flyers (22-17-8, 10-9-3 Away) will try to break out of their slump when they take on the Vegas Golden Knights (24-11-12, 12-6-6 Home) tonight in Sin City at the T-Mobile Arena. The action is set to get underway at 8 p.m. EST, with coverage provided by ESPN+.
With a pair of wins to start the New Year (vs. Edmonton and vs. Anaheim, both scores 5-2), improving their record to 22-12-7, things were looking up for the Flyers. But they’ve been in a downward spiral ever since, losing to Toronto in OT, 2-1, and going on to lose five more in a row. Other than the loss to the Maple Leafs, they haven’t been competitive in any of them, losing by a combined score of 29-11 in their last five. As for Vegas, things are going much better for the Golden Knights. They last played on Saturday against the Nashville Predators and crushed them, 7-2. The win was their seventh consecutive victory. Three of the wins came in overtime, but they outscored their opponents in the other four 23-9.
Vegas has not lost at home since ending 2025 with a third consecutive home loss on New Year’s Eve (vs. Nashville, 4-2).
