There is no doubt that Serbia is the ultimate favorites for this year's EuroBasket. They finished the preparation games with an unblemished record of 7-0. Moreover, they also went on a perfect 6-0 run during the qualifiers.
It's not a surprise, as they have a star-studded squad. Multiple-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic is still the best at what he does. Veteran sharpshooter and international star Bogdan Bogdanovic will again shoot the lights out.
Other Serbian players with NBA experience include Marko Guduric, Nikola Jovic, Vasilije Micic, Filip Petrusev, and Tristan Vukcevic. Jovic, from the Miami Heat, is another player to watch. He is coming off his most productive NBA season, having averaged 10.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.8 assists.
As for Estonia, this could be a rough opening game for them. They did win three of their five preparation games, but this is the Serbian team they're going up against.
Most importantly, Estonia lost starting center Maik-Kalev Kotsar to a recent shoulder injury. Key players like Kristian Kullamae, Henri Drell, and Siim-Sander Vene will have to step up to cover for this big absence.
