South Africa - Angola: Form Analysis
There could be no better preparation than that achieved by South Africa. The Bafana Bafana's last defeat dates back to June, with five wins and six draws since then!
Having qualified for the next World Cup, the South Africans travel to Morocco on the back of three consecutive wins and four clean sheets in their last five games. After their impressive victory over Zambia, Hugo Broos's side are ready to win their first game of the 2025/26 Africa Cup of Nations.
South Africa have not lost in 11 games.
Angola, on the other hand, has been a little more inconsistent. They finished the qualifiers for the next World Cup with just one win in their last four games, winning only two out of ten games in total. This was not enough to qualify for the 2026 World Cup. They have done slightly better recently, winning two friendlies.
Patrice Beaumelle's men need to regain some defensive solidity, having conceded five goals in their last three friendlies. In such an important competition, it is important to have the best possible defense, which is not the case at the moment.

South Africa & Angola Squad Analysis
The coach relied heavily on two teams when selecting his squad: the Sundowns and the Pirates. Ronwen Williams, an experienced 33-year-old goalkeeper, will continue to guard South Africa's goal. Toremi, Foster, and Campbell will be the main names to watch in attack, while the midfield will be led by the duo of Mokoena and Aubaas.
Enough experience to pose a threat this tournament for SA.
Angola is traveling to Morocco with several experienced players. Clinton Mata will lead the Angolan defense, supported by Rui Modesto and David Carmo. Although the midfield will be limited, the attack could make the difference. Luvumbo of Cagliari, Benson of the Championship, and Milson of Belgrade will be the main representatives of the attack. Will they be up to the task? We'll find out when the final whistle blows.

Our South Africa vs Angola Prediction
It seems difficult to predict the winner of this Group B match, even though South Africa is slightly favored according to the odds. Two pleasant surprises from the previous Africa Cup of Nations are meeting in Marrakech, one of the most beautiful cities in the country. The momentum is fairly positive on both sides, especially for the South Africans, which promises a high-quality clash from the kickoff. With Egypt the favorites to win the group, this match is worth triple the points over the next 90 minutes. With the pressure of the event, the slightest mistake could be fatal.
Our prediction for South Africa vs. Angola: both teams to score: yes.
