Arguably, the most intriguing contest of Europa League Matchday Seven takes place at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, as tenth place Roma host ninth place Stuttgart.
Whilst the two teams are only separated by goal difference, they are both currently just outside of the top eight places and an automatic spot in the last 16 of the competition.
After drawing 1-1 at home to Union Berlin at the weekend, Stuttgart are now six games unbeaten in all competitions. Unfortunately for Sebastian Hoeneß's side, a poor start to the campaign means they are still playing catch-up in the race for a place in Europe next season.
Roma's comfortable 2-0 win at Torino on Sunday was their third Serie A win in a row and ensured they remained in the Champions League qualification places. Like Stuttgart, Roma also had a slow start to the season, but recent results mean that Gian Piero Gasperini's men are now in pole position to enjoy a successful 2026 both domestically and in Europe.
