On Wednesday evening, not for the first time in recent years, the LAFC boys will battle it out for a place in the final of the CONCACAF Champions Cup. Now coached by Marc Dos Santos, the team from Los Angeles is hoping to reach what would be a third continental final in six years, having done so back in 2020 and 2023.
Hoping to stop Wednesday’s visitors is the club that last featured in the final of this competition back in 2014. This will be the second leg, and as things stand, it is the Major League Soccer club that is heading towards the showpiece event. Dos Santos’ men won the first leg by two goals to one, so they have the lead, but all is not lost for the hosts, who have the narrowest disadvantage to overcome in front of what will likely be an expectant home crowd at Estadio Nemesio Díez.
In the early betting, it may be worth betting on both teams to find the net, much as they did at BMO Stadium a week ago.
