The Boston Celtics visit the New York Knicks for Game 6 of their 2025 second-round playoff matchup on May 15, Thursday, at the Madison Square Garden.
Despite missing their injured superstar Jayson Tatum, the Celtics managed to pull off a 127-102 victory in Game 5. They were astounding from the three-point line, where they made 22 of their 49 attempts (44.9%). Derrick White led the way with his 34 markers, followed by Jaylen Brown's double-double performance of 26 points and 12 assists.
But can the Celtics pull off another immaculate display from beyond the arc in Game 6? They're shooting well as a team this series (35.9%), but that almost-perfect Game 5 may not repeat itself. Don't forget that they will still miss Tatum the rest of the series.
As for the Knicks, they have a record of 27-14 at home this season. Most importantly, they don't have any names listed on their injury report. The Game 5 was frustrating to watch from their perspective, but they have what it takes to close this series out at home.
Look for Jalen Brunson to bounce back, as he was limited in the second half of Game 5 due to foul trouble.
