The first Madrid derby of the season takes place at the Metropolitano on Sunday, with Atletico and Real both coming into the game in red hot form.
After a mediocre start to the campaign, Atletico have burst into life this week by scoring seven goals without reply in resounding victories over Osasuna and Real Sociedad. Real will offer a much stiffer test for Diego Simeone's men, but Atletico have a decent record agisnt their rivals in recent years, so will be confident of getting something from the game.
Carlos Espi's last minute winner for Real at Elche means that Jose Mourinho's side have now won three games in a row following their shock defeat at Betis. However, due to that defeat, they are three points behind La Liga leaders Barcelona, and given Barca's incredible early-season form, they will be desperate not to fall even further behind in the title race.
