The Los Angeles Rams (2-3, 1-2 Home) will try to get back to .500 when they host the Arizona Cardinals (1-4, 1-2 Away) Sunday at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. EST with coverage provided by Fox.
Expectations were high for the Rams coming into this season, but injuries have made it hard for them to live up to them. Myles Garret was limited in Week 1 and hasn’t played since. Aaron Donald is still working his way back into game shape and has been banged up, too. Puka Nacua has already missed a couple of weeks. Garrett remains out, tackle Alaric Johnson is suspended this week, and Trent McDuffie is questionable.
As for Arizona, the struggle has been real for the Cardinals this season once again. The season got off to a promising start with a 26-14 win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 1. But they have since lost four in a row, with the defense allowing 31+ points in each game. Rookie Jeremiyah Love has not lived up to the hype, averaging less than 50 yards a game through Week 5, and he will miss this week’s game against the Rams.

I can understand why 30%+ of tickets and the handle are on the Cardinals. A 12.5-point spread is huge. But the Rams have the No. 1 offense in the NFL, and the Cardinals are weak on defense (last in scoring, 32.4 points per game allowed). Without a run game or a reliable passing game, I don’t see how the Cardinals can keep up. It’s a big spread, but it’s one the Rams should cover.
