A great matchup in the second round of the US Open men's draw between Zizou Bergs and Jack Draper. After failing to get past the first round of the first three Grand Slam tournaments of 2025, the Belgian has finally managed to turn things around at Flushing Meadows. The world number 46 defeated Chun Hsin Tseng in three sets (6-3, 6-4, 6-3). He has bounced back perfectly after his defeat in his debut at the Sumter Challenger. Now, it will be a much more difficult match for him. The 26-year-old will have to play his best game to stand up to the number 5 seed.
In recent months, Jack Draper has taken on a new dimension. He is now firmly established in the top 10 of the ATP rankings. Although he reached the second week of the first two Grand Slam tournaments of 2025, he was knocked out in the second round at Wimbledon. The Brit did not play in any tournaments after that and only returned for the US Open. That didn't stop him from making a successful start, beating Federico Agustin Gomez despite losing one set (6-4, 7-5, 6-7, 6-2). Even though he is the favorite, he could still drop a set against Zizou Bergs
