Runaway MLS Eastern Conference leaders Nashville will be confident of maintaining their healthy cushion at the top of the table when they host lowly Montreal at Geodis Park on Wednesday evening.
Nashville are currently on a four game winning run and have lost just one of their 15 league fixtures so far this season. Last time out, they edged out Atlanta 1-0, thanks to a late strike from Shak Mohammed.
Montreal are currently two places and three points outside of the Conference wild card positions, following a run of four MLS fixtures without a victory. Last time out, Montreal's attacking problems were on full show as they limped to a drab 0-0 draw against Toronto. Unless interim manager Philippe Eullaffroy can find a solution to his side's attacking issues, it is hard to see them forcing their way into postseason contention.
