Two in-form teams go head-to-head in the NHL on Tuesday night, as the Seattle Kraken host the Montreal Canadiens in their fourth home game of the season at Climate Pledge Arena.
The Kraken haven't yet lost at home in 2025-26, beating the Anaheim Ducks, Vegas Golden Knights, and Edmonton Oilers. On Saturday, Jordan Eberle scored twice against Edmonton in a 3-2 win to extend the Kraken's best start in franchise history.
With nine games played, the Kraken have gone 5-2-2, sitting only a point behind Pacific Division-leading Vegas. They remain unbeaten at home, joining the New Jersey Devils, Carolina Hurricanes, and Utah Mammoth as the only undefeated home teams this season in the NHL.
The Canadiens have a 7-3-0 record for the campaign and are pacing the Atlantic Division. The team has impressed with its never-say-die attitude, recording a league-high three third-period comebacks.
With Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Ivan Demidov all performing exceptionally well, Montreal has emerged as one of the top offensive teams in the league, averaging 3.60 goals. Seattle's tough defense, which has allowed only 2.67 goals per game so far, will face a difficult challenge Tuesday.
