Chicago Sky and Minnesota Lynx meet tonight at Wintrust Arena with both teams trying to steady themselves after uneven opening stretches. Chicago reached the Dallas game at 2-2, not 3-1, after splitting its first four results. The Sky lost 91-83 at Phoenix on May 15, then answered with an 86-79 road win over Minnesota on May 17 before falling 99-89 to Dallas on May 20. That sequence gives this rematch a sharper edge for Chicago. The Sky already showed they can beat the Lynx, but the Dallas loss also showed how difficult it has become for them to protect a full 40 minutes with a shortened rotation. Kamilla Cardoso's 24-point effort against Dallas gave Chicago a reliable interior base, but the Sky still allowed Dallas to pull away late behind stronger guard play and cleaner fourth-quarter execution.
Minnesota enters at 3-2 after producing its most complete game of the season, a 100-72 win over Toronto on May 21. That result came after the Lynx had been dragged into tighter games, including the seven-point home loss to Chicago six days earlier. The Toronto win mattered because Minnesota finally paired defensive control with balanced scoring. Cheryl Reeve's team did not need one player to carry the offense, and that matters on the road against a Chicago side that still plays with size, physicality and enough shot-making to make this uncomfortable.

Our Chicago Sky vs Minnesota Lynx Prediction
The player situation favors Minnesota, mainly because Chicago's injury list has changed the shape of its rotation. Rickea Jackson is out for the season after tearing the ACL in her left knee during the May 17 win over Minnesota. She had been one of Chicago's central scorers, so the Sky now need more from Cardoso, Gabriela Jaquez, Jacy Sheldon, Rachel Banham and Natasha Cloud. Jaquez's 20-point, eight-rebound performance in the first Minnesota meeting showed she can handle a larger role, but Chicago is asking several players to absorb responsibilities at once. Azura Stevens, Courtney Vandersloot and DiJonai Carrington have also been sidelined, further limiting the Sky's flexibility.
Minnesota is still without Napheesa Collier as she works back from left ankle surgery, but the Lynx have handled that absence with a broader scoring mix. Courtney Williams, Kayla McBride, Natasha Howard, Olivia Miles and Maya Caldwell all contributed in the Toronto win, giving Minnesota more reliable options if Chicago loads up inside against Howard or pushes extra pressure toward McBride. Chicago has the home court and already owns one win in this matchup, so this should stay competitive. Minnesota, though, has the healthier active rotation, the cleaner recent performance and the stronger scoring balance. That gives the Lynx the slight upper hand. Our prediction for Chicago Sky vs. Minnesota Lynx: Over 165.5 points.
