The WTA event in Seoul will reach its conclusion during the early hours of Sunday morning, when Maya Joint and Kimberly Birrell will lock horns in an all Australian clash. The pair will be meeting for the first time as pros. Joint, who is the youngster, is looking for a third WTA title, while Birrell, having lost in two previous finals, is still searching for a first piece of silverware at this level. 

The early lines show us that Maya Joint is seen as the most likely winner of this final, though it's not terribly easy to agree with that assumption. Ranked below her opponent, she has played well this week, but there's no real reason as to why she should be considered a much more likely winner than Birrell, who the higher-ranked player and who has won four out of four against lower-ranked players on her way to this final. Last time out, she beat a player ranked above Maya Joint, showing plenty of grit and determination, so do not be surprised if she upsets the odds a little and gets her hands on the prize.
