Two Australians will clash during the early rounds of the ATP event in Montreal, where on Sunday, we'll see James Duckworth face Christopher O'Connell for a fourth time. The pair have twice met on hard courts, with Duckworth winning both of those matches. Duckworth is also the higher-ranked of the two players, but it is O'Connell who comes into this match as the early favorite.
James Duckworth hasn't exactly thrived since the switch from grass to hard courts, but he did come up against a hugely in-form Cameron Norrie last time out, so we probably shouldn't judge him too harshly for losing that, which is what the early market has seemingly done. This is much easier assignment, so much so that the higher-ranked player looks a little generously priced at odds of +150. After all, Duckworth has beaten his compatriot not once but twice on this surface before.
